My Story
GIANNA
A ray of sunshine in every aspect of my life. She is a warm hug on a cold day. She possesses an extraordinary creativity that's like a blank canvas that she paints with the most beautiful colors. Her heart is as big as the ocean and her laughter is the sweetest melody I've ever heard. She fills my life with joy at every moment.
I believe that feelings of being loved and cared for should be captured in a photograph.

I have always been passionate about emotions.
I love to feel, and I love seeing people feeling.

Capturing light, feelings & moments and all the things in between people and life.

Ever since I can remember, art has always been present in my life.
As a child I used to take painting, dance and music lessons.
At the time, I must confess I did not appreciate them as I should have.
I was just a very young girl with lots of energy, no direction, easily distracted and changed interests quickly.
However, something was always present, my love for music.
Listening, singing and dancing has been one of my passions.
Another constant for me has been connecting with people. Since I was young I remember engaging with older adults, listening and admiring their life stories.

My first experience with photography was when I was 15 years old. I remember finding a portrait photography book in my school's library. I was impressed by the people's expressions and feelings they transmitted despite being "only an image".
Noticing my interest for photography, my father bought me my first camera. At that time I was in New York on vacation, so when I went out I snapped many photos all around New York.
Upon returning to Mexico, I started shooting different street scenes, always focusing on people.
Just a few months later I was consumed by school and fully dedicated to my daughter.
Two years went by and I rarely took any photos.
I kept watching documentaries, reading books and attending exhibitions related to photography. I found many photos but it was the good portraits that made my heart flutter.
At 18, I decided to live my dream as a "Portrait photographer" so I could connect with people and capture their mere essence and show their feelings and what they can transmit through the lens of my camera.
From then on, I never let go of my camera. I started taking pictures of my friends, relatives and even strangers.
I then realized that all this time, even without knowing it, art was always part of my heart and soul.
Realizing this was, as if in an instant, different scenes of my life flashed before me giving me a sense of fullness and freedom.

I enjoy sights and capturing the essence of people.
My love of music helps me to connect with them whenever I portray them.
I'm convinced that its an excellent way to understand and create a bond with whoever I have in front of me.
Through out the years I have tried to immerse myself not only in photography but in art itself. Some of my biggest inspirations are renaissance and impressionism.
Looks, gestures, movements and shapes of the body inspire me as if everything came together in a beautiful symphony. Becoming then an explosion of sensations for me.
