I had the opportunity to dive into a very special experience: capturing Fernanda, a talented painter whose art is both her passion and her refuge.

Photographing an artist is always a unique journey, a mix of extra excitement and anticipation. I clearly remember the day of the session: the studio filled with light, the smell of brewing coffee, and the atmosphere charged with creativity and emotion. Fer walked in with a strong presence, a unique smile, and an intense gaze that instantly revealed her determination.

Before the session, we met in her studio to talk a bit about her career, her story, her style, her tastes, and her family. It was there that I learned about her love for mezcal, so on the day of the session, we started with a shot that she savored slowly while we shared words and expressions.

The result of our session was a surprise to me. Honestly, I didn't want to have fixed expectations, and I'm grateful for that because it allowed me to capture something truly valuable: her essence.

Some photos show serious expressions that reflect her strength, others capture moments of laughter, and some show her focus while she spoke about her art.

It took me a while to share them, I think I was worried if they would adequately reflect who she is. I also wondered if they would be well-received by those who appreciate a different approach. But in the end, I realized these images are much more than just photos; they are a story in themselves, a testament to the beauty that resides in authenticity and human connection.

So today, with great satisfaction, I share these images. They represent not just a special moment, but also the real essence of Fernanda, a genuine artist. I hope that when you see them, you find the same connection and authenticity that I experienced while capturing them.

Thank you Fernanda for giving me the opportunity to see you.
